Stand with Mississippi: Pledge your support
Initiative 26 is not only bad policy for Mississippi, but it has potential implications beyond her borders. If passed, it would ban many commonly used birth control methods (including the pill), force a woman who was raped or an incest victim to carry a pregnancy caused by her attacker, and result in more unintended pregnancies. Initiative 26 is so poorly worded that it puts us all at risk. The government needs to focus on getting our economy back on track, not getting involved in decisions best left to a woman, her doctor, and her faith.
The "Personhood" movement doesn't intend to stop with Mississippi. We must take a stand here and make clear that this is wrong for Mississippi and wrong for America.
